Fabric & Hooping

At about 61.4 stitches/cm² the fill is moderate: one layer of medium-weight cut-away handles most wovens, while knits want a second layer or a fusible backing. At 203.2 × 150.2 mm plan on 6×10 in or larger, and mark your centre lines before hooping.

Lettering at this size suits shirt cuffs and collars, pockets, tote panels and towel borders — anywhere a name or initial needs to sit cleanly on a flat surface. Keep the backing firm so the strokes hold their shape.
